From what I understand, the suit case holds the soul of the big boss Marsellus Wallace. He made a deal with the devil to become the head crime boss. Then he crossed the devil and sent people after the suit case.

Not showing the good leaving one to question of what it is. There is nothing like a "What's in the box" question to an audience in entertainment.
The "Whats in the box" game is quite popular.
If one were to look at Pulp Fiction not so much as a "Reality" movie but rather an Urban fantasy then the conclusions of Wallaces soul in the brief case makes much more sense.
The idea of Pulp Fiction being an Urban Fantasy holds even more true when ya realise that the scene above says it all. There is no way short of a miracle that kid with the .44 Mag missed them at close range with 6 shots. It was a Miracle if not an utter impossibility.
Another point that is important to note reinforces Urban Fantasy is yes the Bandaid on Wallaces neck where his soul could have been removed and ended up in the brief case. His "Business Partners" tried to do something with Wallaces soul and got messed up. "Best Intentions" what happens with "Best Intentions"?
Thus again the scene above concludes Urban Fantasy.
Now in a later scene John Travolta is killed why?
Because he lost his Shepherd and Guardian.
The songs in the movie ( Son Of A Preacher Man ) also verify alot of what QT is trying to say and well what I am trying to say is Pulp Fiction is an urban fantasy. Even the title of the movie confirms that it is
ALl the dot's connect up when it is viewed as a Christian Urban Fantasy with Angels and Devils, good and Evil and those that are entrapped in the middle of these forces.
