                                                          Do you really think they sit Mccain down in a chair and explicity tell him what he must do and what he must not do and what is the reward/punishment? It would be very risky for McCain and the perpetrators and it could later come back to haunt them.

                                                          Here is an example of how smart powerful people operate. They hire "advisors" or "assistants" who may or may not be involved in criminal activity. Later, the powerful boss complains to his assistants that he is not happy with the situation and the assistants must correct the situation.

                                                          If the assistants can not get results, they later are replaced and either fired or moved to another position. New people are brought in until they can get results, either legally or illegally. If the powerful boss is a criminal, then he does not care about how they got results. And if he is smart, he does not even ask. He only needs to know basic info such as how much it will cost and when it will happen. If there is any discussion about illegal activity, the employee is immediately fired.

                                                          In many countries, I do not doubt that illegal plans are still made overtly where all perpetrators meet in one room and have expliticit conversations, but it is very risky to do such things in USA.

                                                          Nixon made the mistake of dicussing something in the white house which he should have discussed and he was later caught.

                                                              Look, I am not very up-to-date and interested in (US) politics, but if you ask me, I would highlight "war criminal" from your words.

                                                              Everybody has the right - even if I personally do not say hatred of any kind is OK - to hate America or any other country in the world, but this will never justify attacks of any kind.

                                                              I think most (islamic) countries hate/disagree US/Bush because of bad foreign-politics in general. It's the first time in history that ALL the worlds leaders not just Dictators but also civil and modern world leaders as well are supporting Obama and that comes with little surprise given the Republican SHow for the last 8 years.

                                                                                                                                                                                          I guess you guys wouldn't have a problem with being jailed for criticizing the government, and takeover of all newspapers, as well as clamp down on private assets, arbitrary changes in election rules to keep him in power forever, etc...., but for some reason, the Venezuelan's I talk to seem to have a problem.

Corruption appears in a way more subtle way. Money is power. They don't need to bribe the media, just to make sure he has good enough people arround him to build him a nice image.
