    can someone pls explain the pros or cons of a roku channel.

    from the perspective of a content producer.
    i have a bunch of scenes ut dont know much about roku.

              ...and I would gladly pay the 2K and host my stuff if I knew what (and how) is the upside and pitfalls with adult content..

                  From what I hear you have to bring in your own customers. So I'm not sure what the benefit is if you already have your own channels to bring in your own customers.

                  are there that many people that would join the site only or specifically because of a Roku Channel availability

                          I've polled a group of customers with this and all of two knew what it was at the time, and a 3rd one was asking about one recently. That's out of about maybe 100 or so active regulars in the group.
