I don't think most people here are even aware of this friend feature.

But I have embraced it and will have many, many friends here at GFY.

I don't think it is that big of a deal. But since I know I hang out here more than any social networking site, why not.

I honestly do not have any sort of personal myspace of anything like that. But I like online friends better than IRL friends. Much easier!

nah, it's the way vbulletin is going, not necessarily GFY.
Every board that upgrades has it. In fact, most have WAY more than that. Entire social communities and crap.
GFY's is a very slim down version.

I have allot of acquaintances, but I wouldn't call them true friends. True friends are hard to come by and most people don't know what the fuck a true friend is.
