it happened to me years ago, using it at stores (canadian tire) the second charge will fall off in a few days. BUT its annoying because it ties up your funds. I learned, now use it only for cash withdrawals

Use it at ATM's only to avoid that.

Happened to me twice in 1 day. I paid for my groceries ($200) then went to buy a couple of new t shirts (another $200 or so) and when I checked my account $800 was gone from my epass. Took me about 4 to 5 weeks to get it back which annoyed the shit out of me. Just as well I wasn't needing the cash urgently.

$200 for groceries and another $200 for a couple of T-Shirts? Considering that and what I've heard about Scottish weather and Scottish women, there's no way in hell I'll ever set my foot on Scottish soil.

Right, because English weather is also renowned for being great just as English chicks are renowned for being super hot.

Have you guys noticed huge currency conversion charges when taking out of ATM's ? I mean over 10% different than the daily rate. Eg ... if the aussie dollar was at $.70c for the day you would get charged as if the dollar was at $.80c?

Thats a gigantic chunk out of any money taken out over the atm fee.

thats not Epasses fault, your local ATM (bank) sets the rates.

If you see both a Pending and a completed charge for the same transactions please send me a email with your UserID and both transactions to [email protected] and I will see if we can drop them.

Not true. Your local ATM/bank may charge you additional fees, but they DO NOT set the rates.

Visa sets the exchange rate and charge a 1% fee for it.
