I can see the smoke over here in Canoga Park. We're doing ok as long as we stay indoors. It even appears to be calming down a bit.

I've seen worse. There have been a few over the past few years that have gone on for days. One time I called into work at AVN and asked "How bad is the fire? Should I come in?" and was told "everything's fine, don't worry". As I came up the 118, it looked like something out of a sci-fi movie. Low-flying choppers, traffic being re-directed, flames leaping into the air....later that evening ash started falling on the parking lot.

A1r3k, if it gets too bad, make a dash for the mall where they've got the air conditioners.

i'm fine here in the house.

the fire is heading towards tims area as it does almost every year. right thru fire alley. thats why they are staging so many engines over that way. when those santa anas get crazy around 11pm tonight its on, it will move fast.

I am on Mason st and Nordhoff st and it has a nice smell to it here. I saw a fire truck pretty close to the 118 near the fires today when i was driving around and they were headed the other way and seemed pretty claim. No lights or sirens.
