What are your views on Flippa ?

i mean ,in terms of buying websites/domains/aapps, do you have any experience ?

    Good / Bad ?

i purchased an app there and seller could nt back up his claims so i filed dispute.

i see majority sellers are either from pakistan or from india.

i am also seeing websites with really good alexa ranking going for like really cheap.

are sellers manipulating the alexa and traffic sources and traffic counts ?

    thanks for your time.

90% of the listings suck, lots of scammers obviously. You have to be very careful. There are good deals too though.

With websites, website age can be a good initial filter. Scammers will be selling half year old sites, they don't have 3 years to build a site.

Since they have the highest per population tech savvy and lowest average labor cost, they're selling their low labor cost created wares often into markets where labor costs are much higher.

              Nice little arbitrage.

Have to wade through a lot of bullshit and most sites that are worthwhile the owners dream of getting paid more than their lame ass couple grand a month profit websites are worth, which also results in a lot of uncompleted auctions. Finding website wrote while might not be worth the time wasted or risk in buying the majority of the crap that gets listed. Cap from the getgo and/or manipulated listings.

Can't imagine manipulated listings being that hard either, nothing stops someone from using their affiliate code(s) and Google analytics codes from one domain to be used on another. Domain A = actual good website, domain B = shit website. Domain A uses all of domain bs affiliate and analytics codes to inflate statistics of domain b and get it sold on flippa.
