Just curious with no dog in the game. OK, its the sites content to do with as they wish and I could understand some affiliates feeling a little upset, however I'm surprised there was no talk of it on GFY.

I'll give my personal experience / opinion of things later if the tread gains traction but I'm just curious of what you thought from a punters point of view if you tried it out?

I know those who own / work for the sites will say 'It was a great success' as I've seen that elsewhere, but from a surfers perspective, how did you find 'FreePornDay' ???

Would it turn you off of tubes and interested in becoming a paying member instead?

Lots of people did hear of it. It received a LOT of national mainstream press coverage, that cant be denied. Apparently it generated HUGE traffic, (According to what I've read elsewhere) causing quite a few servers to go down and one of the big players being 'unable to handle it' and having to end the offer 11 hours early after collecting 32000 email addresses.

From what I saw of the day, you were one of the few 'Straight Forward' ones - Give us an email and you can have free access for the rest of the day.

Some other offerings seemed to want me to actually join and pay, others wouldn't let me in at all (the stocking site) and the 'big one' Evil Angel, didn't seem to work for me at all

All I could seem to see on that one was the short previews. Perhaps I did something wrong?

My suggestion for next time would be to just have an email once at the main site and then the main site would have given direct access to all on offer from all sites via special entry - From the freepornday site.

I can't see giving un-fettered access to multiple TB of data. But now you have 32K email address to blast out every other day till they un-subscribe or signup
