We are receiving different feedback from our clients on this "recession" thing. Straight market is experiencing difficulties with sales. Althrough about every 3rd person I asked reported a constant growth. Gay market isn't experiencing any difficulties at all.
It might be tough times for straight market, but as in every business its either you eat them, or they eat you. As it was said on CNN "There is a lot of sharking going on".
5 Threads a day about the same topic and the answer will always be the same.

You're right but even though i expect a logical discussion which posted by spacedog, people was arguing as a gfy classic and i made a decision for making a clean thread for this, then people can post what's their in mind...

the consumer is changing. i think it has less to do with the recession and more to do with a new kind of consumer.

i really really hope you're wrong - but i agree with you - i think webmasters who are attributing their decreasing sales to the economy are whistling past the graveyard.
there is no way to adapt to a changing consumer when that change is 'i'm not ever going to pay for porn I can get anything I want for free' - other than become one of those that gives him a buffet of free quality porn.
if i have to do it one day then i will.
I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!

there are definitely ways to adapt. generation Y will pay for things. they pay for things every day. it's a generation of prolific consumption but they are definitely not going to pay for things that they are certain that they can get for free, especially when it's content that doesn't fully appeal to them.
i think that everyone needs to pay attention to the fact that social media is HUGE now (and has been huge for long enough that people should already understand but i get that adult is used to doing things one way already and has been slow to catch up). if people are saying that dating sites are still doing well then perhaps that means that people crave interaction? maybe the same can be attributed, to some extent, to the huge popularity of social networking sites? maybe a similar anecdote could explain some of the success we have experienced with godsgirls?
i truly believe that the days of people paying for content that is solely masturbation material are gone and that people are looking for sites that they can go to out of sexual interest and stay on for something beyond that. adult sites need to make themselves more dynamic in order to hold the interest of the incredibly internet savvy Ygen.
