      1) He's Black and honestly black people simply haven't proven they can run ANYTHING.

      2) Not a fan of Socialism

      3) He supports the CLinton health plan and my wife's a nurse. No nurse wants anything even close to Clintons plan AKA canada for dummies

      4) I don't believe he'll tell the black organizations to STFU which they all need to.

      5) Affirmative action does NOT work so why the hell is it bringing us a president? (Obama got "passes" due to affirmative action)

                                      1)Are you familiar with the actual details of this? WAGES for people such as Nurses will go to hell along with increasing their workload.

                                      2) SICK people will be put on a waiting list to get help. Surgeries that are NEEDED you won't get for MONTHS

                                      3) When healthcare is "free" people go to the hospital for BULLSHIT Reasons. WIthout insurance I've skipped going for the hospital for BROKEN bones which have caused some long term problems but I didn't want to pay for them to do shit that I figured I could do at home. I've even had shoulder dislocations put back in myself. The last time I went I had stepped on a long rusty object and I waited over a week to go when I had red lines going up my leg.

                                      As an example, poor people with the free healthcare bring their kids in over every sneeze and cold. Healthcare system will simply be overwhelmed.

                                      - The real solution to healthcare? 2 things 1)Put caps on lawsuits and make it a LOT harder to sue your doctor. Lawsuits have driven insurance up to insane levels for dr's. My wife has even been dragged into some of the dumbest lawsuits.
                                      2)On top of that simply reduce costs of meds! If Mexico and the rest of the world can get these drugs so much cheaper why the hell cant we? Don't force us to make up all the "research" costs, spread it evenly throughout the world!

                                      Health insurance is completely unaffordable for most people. It would be possible to OFFER a government oversight solution like medicare to the nation but not make it paid for by tax payers! make them pool the monthly fee like a traditional health insurance plan only use low oversight, not for profit oversight to that pool. I am NOT for taking tax dollars and putting it into healthcare.

                                              Instead of jacking up taxes AND spending he needs to go through and REDUCE costs everywhere. We can trim our defense budget great, there just isn't a need....

                                              Iraq? We need to get the hell out like TWO YEARS AGO! (never should have gone in) BUT Obama simply does NOT have plans for a quick pullout. He called for immediate removal in his EARLY campaign but he has changed his tune on that. Obviously he doesn't have the balls to stand firm in what he believes in.

                                              Obama sucks and so does old man winter. How many elections have we had no real candidate? Democracy doesn't work obviously.

                                                                                              While affirmative action might not work, people using it to their advantage might still be very capable. Just like beautiful women and handsome men usually use their looks for advantage.

She's definitely intelligent, but by no means a genius.                                                                                               What I dislike about him, though, is what I dislike about contemporary politics on the whole. Style, these days, greatly exceeds substance in importance. The ability to enthuse a crowd is far more important for one's political success than things like knowledge, qualifications and insight.

                                                                                              That's a problem.

                                                                                              While I prefer Obama over McCain, the fact that he's going to be the next American president has very little to do with his qualifications, experience, knowledge, or political record. He's getting the world's top job because he's charismatic.

                                                                                              Think about that for a moment - the person who will be making the most important decisions in the world a few months from now only gets the job because he's able to present himself well.

                                                                                              For me, that's a frightening prospect.

                                                                                                      I'd just like to say I'm on two nursing message boards right now, reading about their opinions on universial healthcare... and it varies.. but I'd say it's a 65% for and 35% against sorta thing..

                                                                                                      The people who are for it.. mention the money they'll get back in their paychecks by not having to pay for insurance any longer... and also money saved when switching hospitals on cobras and the like...

                                                                                                      so who knows.
                                                                                                      But it's something to definitely take an educated look at .. and not just see redstate, communism when ya think about it.

WORKLOAD goes up for people like nurses simply because people start going to hospitals for shit they otherwise would have stayed home for. Pay is roughly the same but there's more work to be done.

                                                                                                          My wife does traveling nurse jobs because they get paid a LOT better, in universal healthcare plans the party ends for traveling nurses. I LOVE getting paid to move to another state... getting paid $1500/mnth for housing expenses on top of a better hourly wage and pay to travel ROCKS.

                                                                                                          Universal Healthcare isn't the real solution. but obviously some changes NEED to be made, I just don't think its good for the country to go with universal healthcare. I believe it will only benefit the poor while making things WORSE for the MIDDLE class(me?) and upper class(hope to be)

                                                                                                                              When my wife had a thyroid problem it was feb, she didnt see the actual doctor until august.
                                                                                                                              We sat in the hospital after having us sit there for 9 hrs. The doc comes to tell my dad its cancer and it looks bad.Then in the same breath says it can take 2 weeks to a month to see the specialist.
                                                                                                                              My mother who works for a big fish in the atl medical industry and called in favors for him. Then he saw a the specialist the next day.
                                                                                                                              They gave him 3 to 6 months now he is going strong almost a year and half now but he owes that time to my mother who has been a pit bull for him. If he didnt have a wife with the connections she has and the ability to get in peoples faces.He would of been screwed.
                                                                                                                              This is all with medical insurance isnt it great.

                                                                                                                                                                      I am not an economist, but it seems logical that there should be tax breaks after a certain point to encourage reinvestment. Everyone whines about oil making huge profits, but it seems their ROI is about the same as a nice money market.

                                                                                                                                                                      Oh, I also think it is ridiculous to give these chump tax rebates. $200 a person can be put to better use.

If Mexico and the rest of the world can get these drugs so much cheaper why the hell cant we? Don't force us to make up all the "research" costs, spread it evenly throughout the world!

                                                                                                                                                                                              Health insurance is completely unaffordable for most people. It would be possible to OFFER a government oversight solution like medicare to the nation but not make it paid for by tax payers! make them pool the monthly fee like a traditional health insurance plan only use low oversight, not for profit oversight to that pool. I am NOT for taking tax dollars and putting it into healthcare.

Makes lawsuits understandable when the Doctors actually don't care.
