    dedicating my 1000th post to...

I would like to dedicate my 1000th post to those who were loved and lost on Sept 11, 2001. I had personal friends and family affected by this horrible tragedy. As a token or my 1000th post, I will dedicate 25 cents for everyone who posts in this thread (per person, not per message, sorry i'm not rich). I wish I could afford more, but right now this is the best I could do. I will donate the money to redcross.org a week from today.

(This is not an attempt at a dvd player, for if I do win, I will donate it to charity, or if I could receive money for the dvd player the money will be donated) This thread is just a way to help raise some money.

Thanks again for all the support
    -Rosey

    GOD BLESS AMERICA

Good for you Maybe a better way to raise some money would be to show some skin and take donations as your clothing comes off good luck

Find a different charity that is paying out the funds more fairly. We personally find it very distasteful that they pay one family 100k and others over 1 million. They are basing it on the victims jobs versus as a human being.

As if being a cook or bottle washer makes it somehow LESS of a loss to their loved ones. (Not to mention that the ones being paid higer rates..., those victims had pretty high life insurance amounts as well)

I wish my wife had died in the WTC. CHA CHING.

You know how many people cashed out of an unhappy relationship on 9-11? Your drunk slut of a wife kicks it and you get a million dollars? I wouldnt call that a tragedy, thats like hitting the fucking lottery.

With that said maybe you should look up some info on some of these victims and send the money to them personally that way they get 100% of your donation instead of like just half when you use some thrid party

Some of the fundamental changes to Americans' legal rights by the Bush administration and the USA Patriot Act following the terror attacks:

                      * FREEDOM OF ASSOCIATION: Government may monitor religious and political institutions without suspecting criminal activity to assist terror investigation.

                      * FREEDOM OF INFORMATION: Government has closed once-public immigration hearings, has secretly detained hundreds of people without charges, and has encouraged bureaucrats to resist public records requests.

                      * FREEDOM OF SPEECH: Government may prosecute librarians or keepers of any other records if they tell anyone that the government subpoenaed information related to a terror investigation.

                      * RIGHT TO LEGAL REPRESENTATION: Government may monitor federal prison jailhouse conversations between attorneys and clients, and deny lawyers to Americans accused of crimes.

                      * FREEDOM FROM UNREASONABLE SEARCHES: Government may search and seize Americans' papers and effects without probable cause to assist terror investigation.

                      * RIGHT TO A SPEEDY AND PUBLIC TRIAL: Government may jail Americans indefinitely without a trial.

                      * RIGHT TO LIBERTY: Americans may be jailed without being charged or being able to confront witnesses against them.

the dead are dead, what will the redcross do? misapprpriate your donation? commemerating the dead with your 1000th post is great and everything, but do something substantial. donate a buck to the ACLU or some other organization that will fight stupid legistlation.
