When they show a black guy, they show him dressed up, nice watch, nice necklace, bad ass car and some fucking gold teeth.

When I used to go out to bars and clubs almost every night (my introvert side has taken over recently and I'm so burned out on that scene right now) my friends and I noticed that out of all the girls in my group, I tended to get hit on by black/Latinos/Middle Eastern guys the most. I mean, I got hit on by white guys too, but we noticed that I and my one other friend would always be the only ones that ethnic guys were interested in.

They always thought it was because I have more "exotic" (uh... compared to a blonde white chick, at least - I'm a mix of Israeli/Native American/Latino/Eastern Euro) features. My other friend was a redhead who only liked black guys, and she thought it was probably just the guys picking up on her preference and responding accordingly. I was once told that I have negative ass, so my booty wasn't part of the equation. I WISH I had a good ass =(

I didn't mind, though. I don't really have a preference for any particular race. I think I've had crushes on (if not dated) almost every ethnicity. If a guy's hot, he's hot. Plus, at least at the places I frequented and in the area I lived in, the ethnic guys were always more polite and respectful to me than the white frat boy types. I know I'm making sweeping generalizations here, but it's true... I've never been spoken to rudely or harassed by any guy that wasn't white =/

But personality wins every time over superficial things. He has to be funny and smart and share (or at least tolerate) my video game nerd tendencies.

I've never had a friend comment on the race of the person I was dating, except my family. I don't know if she even realizes it, but my mom seems to always give Jewish guys the benefit of the doubt over anyone else. Typical.
