    New Macbook Pro Rumors?

    I've been thinking about making the big switch to Mac and thought I'd get my feet wet with a MacBook Pro. When I started doing some research I kept coming across links with rumors of a new MacBook Pro about to be released within the next 30 days but I can't find anything solid about the release of a new model.

    I actually called the local Apple store to ask about it and recieved the following response from the rep there: "I can neither confirm nor deny the release of a new MacBook Pro". No shit, that's exactly what the kid said.

    Anyone here know where I can find more info on this, or at least find out if there even is a new model about to be released? Thanks!

          I switched over everything to mac... just when I was starting to like mac... my iMac's HD just died all the sudden after only less than 4 months... make sure you backup!

              I've been hearing that a new ones coming, including here: Mac Rumors, where they say that it could be the 14th of this month.
              They'll never tell you that a new one is coming, because it brings the sale of old ones to a grinding halt, which is a loss if they still have inventory of them. They can't tell you no either, because if they say no, and a new one comes out, you could claim shenanigans.

                  Interesting read, I hadn't seen that one yet. Thanks! Defintely worth waiting another 2 weeks to see if that date's accurate.

                              I heard they put that off for the moment because of the power concerns. They are trying to go with a cooler running, lower power consumption "greener" apple, so I think it's a ways off now.

                                  Apple has always been secret about their releases. Why would you let a customer know when you are going to release a product when you can just keep it a secret and force them to upgrade a month later.

                                                                                      It takes some getting used to however I am glad I did. It's great to boot up in under 30 seconds and shutdown in under 20...
