Bothersome - our local city hired a Quebec contracter, Pomerleau - to build a $50mil bridge across the old canal...and already they've spent $90mil (almost double the budget)...to the point the city is currently doing a forensic accounting investigation and has turned it over to Niagara Police.
And still the bridge design and construction doesn't inspire confidence - especially given Quebec's history of bridges and structures falling down over the years.
Think I'll take the long way around and avoid gambling on the bridge.
