I haven't seen him matched against a decent person yet, but they still put him against guys like Ken (who just needs money and will take a dive before getting knocked out).. Now Frank Shamrock would be a different story.
Ken is finished... his chin is weak as hell anymore. He buckles like a belt pretty quickly. Has Ken won a fight in the past few years? He was bad ass once, but he's completely finished. He may actually get killed in this fight. I predict Shamrock getting knocked out within the first 2 minutes of the 1st round.

He's lost his last 5 fights, knocked out in the first round in every one. He hasn't won a fight since 2004.
Ken is old, and his track record isn't great as of lately, BUT what has Kimbo done besides knock out a bunch of chumps even Ken Shamrock could knock out still?
If Kimbo comes out and knock shis the fuck out quick, he's got it. However, if Ken takes Kimbo down, he has got the smarts to finish there job, where Kimbo is by the looks of things still fairly uncomfortable in his ground game. Can I say lay and pray?
Shamrock is NOT going to want to stand in there for this fight. So Kimbo had better tag him quick, because he will be looking for that take down, and I think he is done if that's where the fight ends up.
I like the matchup. Kimbo isn't skilled or experienced enough yet to go against top notch competition. Elite XC is moving him along just right for their business. Kimbo is entertaining even though even he admits that he isn't a top twenty fighter. There are other entertaining fights on the card with good fighters. Arlovski, Ninja Rua, Jake Shields, even Gina Carrano for the women may make good fights. I also watch the UFC and other organizations, and I appreciate the elite fighters that fight their way to the top of the heap as well as the lesser fighters like Kimbo that have become main cards due to their appeal to the masses .

For the record, this means Kimbo sucks and the only reason he is fighting these utter "horse shit" fighters is that the white man wants to profit off Kimbo before he gets taught a lesson in MMA by someone who knows what they are doing.
Ken Shamrock is a fucking joke, so were all of Kimbo's opponents thus far.
Another joke ass Kimbo fight.. God I hope shitty ass Ken knocks him out some how, wouldn't that be fantastic.
Mainstream MMA is about $ folks. No one here is saving the sport by repeating the same shit everyone says about how unqualified Kimbo is to be fighting. Why so jealous? This is entertainment & business - not the fucking Olympics.
Kimbo will have to fight top tier fighters at some point of his career... it has to happen, it will happen. Until then, enjoy the show.

Newsflash, those $$$ are generated just as much in part due to hatred for fighters as it is their fanbase. if you don't like people hating on a fighter, go sit in a fucking corner. I watch the fights to see a GOOD FIGHT, and when one is not provided it is not quality entertainment to me. Elite XC is in large part the WWE of MMA. It's entertaining as far as sideshow fights go and there is the odd great fight (who can complain, its free) but for the most part, the sideshow is what you're getting.
Kimbo's fights are repeatedly bland setup victories. I'm getting tired of it. I hardly get excited to tune in and watch him fight anymore. I can't ewait to see him get his ass kicked by some old hacks like Shamrock so everyone can shut up about Kimbo...
I believe that must be a repeat. I hope so, otherwise my Tivo missed it!
It's (UFC Fight Night has) gotta be a repeat, but this one is new to me though.
Speaking of the UFC, Dana White sure is a shark. He makes sure to have a UFC event going on at the exact same time as EliteXC and Affliction matches. Spike is showing the Rampage/Griffin fight from a few months ago, when the Kimbo fight is on.

So you are excited to see the Kimbo fight, if for no other reason than to see a skilled, albeit way past his prime fighter like Ken Shamrock potentially kick Kimbo's ass! You see, Elite XC has something for everyone! :-)
PS- Ken's pride will hurt him. Based on his past performances I say he will probably stand and bang with Kimbo instead of taking him down where he has an advantage and laying on him where he can win on points or submitting him. And as a result he will probably lose. Either way it's fun to root for Kimbo. I hope he has been training wrestling and on the ground so he can exceed the hater's doubts.

I'd like nothing more than to see Kimbo do well, but I haven't seen much to impress me yet.

I think people just want to see him fight someone halfway decent, not "top notch competition". Kimbo isn't some bum off the street now, he's been training with Bas Rutten for over three years. Yet he still gassed in the second round against James Thompson.
Ken shamrock (44yrs old) has lost 8 out of his last 10 fights by KO or TKO. That's by middleweights and light heavy weights too. Ken is arrogant and dumb enough to stand in front of Kimbo even though Ken is more of a ground fighter. Ken has a great chance of winning if he took Kimbo down ASAP but he won't I bet, he's too arrogant.
EliteXC knows what they are doing, Ken still has a name yet most people don't know how many times Ken has lost lately and by who. They don't know he's a washed up 44 year old fighter who keeps getting KO'd by nobodies and by people not even in his weight class.
Ken has to avoid being hit by Kimbo..
He needs to take him down and put him in a hold and make him tap out super-fast or I dont think he will make it...
He is getting older and not quite as quick as he used to be so I dont know how easy that will be for him.. but he does knows his holds and IF he is fast enough, can take Kimbo out.. I think lol
It will be a good fight :-)

I think that Ken has too much machismo to do the smart thing and take Kimbo down and try to submit him. I predict he will stand and trade punches with Kimbo just like he has done in his last several fights, and get his ass knocked out.
A friend of mine and I were talking about this last night. If Shamrock takes him down he is a very dangerous ground fighter and can beat Kimbo there. If he stands with him, he is going to get knocked out.
I can see why Shamrock would take this fight. However I have to wonder did he take it figuring if he beats Kimbo he will be hot again and can get a couple more big money fights or did Elite XC sit him down and offer him a nice check and fat bonus if he agrees to stand in front of Kimbo and throw?
