That is pretty much what the VP is supposed to do. Their primary role is to just sit there waiting for something bad to happen to the President.

Cheney has more power than any VP in history, and we can't expect Biden or Palin to have the same. What did you ever hear about Gore doing under Clinton? Nothing, the way it's supposed to be.

Totally... and this is why, this VP race is so much more important than any in history. If Obama is elected, I predict an "assassination" and then we will have Badin. IF McCain is elected and dies cuz he is old... then we get Palin. the question is who do we want?
