warning - Streammate is Giving RedTube Long Videos

What a shock I had this week, a friend of mine told me to look at a clip on RedTube. It was a 24 minute video of live chat, strip, masturbation and fingering for a model that usually costs $3.74 per minute to take private.

When I checked with Streammate about the origin of the video, they replied

"Thanks for your message. The video in question is being used as a promotion for an authorized reseller of streamate.com."

Of course, i replied...

I can only say I'm surprised. If you mean to tell me that you allow 24 minutes of stripping, nude masturbation and fingering to be copied from yours, or any other webcam site?

That leads to the question - "How the heck is an Affiliate supposed to sell your Pay Per Minute program if you allow it to be copied and displayed for free?"

I went through the site and found quite a few more. No wonder my sales for Streammate are sucking wind. "Why pay for the cow if you can get the milk for free."

Obviously, theres no need for me to market that program any longer.

what really got me going on this, was not just the financial aspect

what about the performers? webcam sex for sale is illegal in Russia and the Ukraine. in the Ukraine it is prosecuted as prostitution

so the performers will block their own country, to keep from being seen by family, friends or the police. but the sites have the models sign releases (that most of them cannot read) agreeing to release promotional materials

so when the sites release this kind of explicit material to a site that does not block any traffic - imho - that's just endangering the performers

especially if some of the girls in question have already been arrested before, and are facing jail the nest time

Hey guys, you heard it here first - start uploading lamo webcam shows to all tube sites ASAP!

Apparently this will cause all sorts of trouble, and more importantly, once surfers see just how boring and predictable a webcam show really is, they will be WAY less likely to bother clicking the webcam links that most tube sites rely on for revenue.

Awesome idea! Any way to fuck with tube revenue is a win for the people who actually have to pay for the scenes that are so often stolen by these TUBE SITE ASSWIPES!

i initially assumed the same thing. however, there was no theft or piracy involved by this site.

streammate affirmed that the videos in question were licensed by them.

frankly - i believe he has a license for everything he posts. that's how he has managed to stay in business 7 years.

using that logic, I guess you'd think then it would also be prudent to reply to any post on every mainstream forum or blog that mentions a tube site that "you made a big mistake and clicked on or signed up for 'xxxxxx' webcam or 'xxxxxxxxxxx' dating and it was a big ripoff and warn everyone reading that they should never waste their money"

I actually think longer web cam clips may help sales. A lot of people I know don't really have any knowledge of them. A real clip will give them an idea of what goes on.

The whole allure of webcams is the girl is live and you are interacting with a real woman in real time. If people want recorded videos, we all know there are plenty of those available for free.

But it's quite clear it's the LIVE and interactive feature that is the key to webcams. Surely people don't watch them for the poor picture quality and horrid frame rate.

models/performers sign the agreement, the account is not approved untill they do that, whether or not they read the documents doesnt matter.They give all the rights to the site to use the content.

As someone who doesn't appreciate sports or the value they provide, it really is the same. I think porn should adopt a similar model as mainstream entertainment - use the pictures and video to lure people in at a lower cost but the value comes from getting to meet the performer in person and watching it LIVE, or some other kind of LIVE action. i double guarantee you. a release signed under those conditions will not hold up in ANY modern court of law. it's been that way in the USA for over 50 years, and in europe - most nations are more advanced

As much as I know stream... does not provide any type of Block Country method.

And most of the Main Cam sites even if they provide this option ... they would never block PayMembers ... this is basicly a tool only working for "guests" of the blocked countries.

It might NOT be fair for models (Note: we R not included on that list) but Models must also be aware, that every time you publish any content on the Web, theres a chance it would land somewhere else and theres no way to control that.

We are looking for CAM Sites where our Colombian Models can work.
