Biggest chunk of commercial stuff I shoot now is full 8K 4320 minimum. Usually downscaled to 4K for output.

Reason, the image you have shown here has shadow from the lighting, so 4k still won't change your lighting & that model has awful fake boobs & her hair's hanging between them, you could have asked her to part it properly. He also says, she looks gone out with her lips all hanging there, but then, that's knocking the model, not something I usually would do or say, He says, it's a really shit photo!
From me, i'm just agreeing that your lighting is bad, anyway...

I'll catch up with your thread tomorrow, but in all serious, I would never compare my photos with your shit, I prefer to see mine & see if I compare to RK or PB, other companies on the top lines, not amateur like you DV

You cannot fix bad light,bad sound,bad acting,bad sets,bad wardrobe, bad make up, bad camera moves,bad direction,bad focus or skunky looking talent in the post. That is a myth and if you believe it I have some land in Florida I want to sell.

With RAW 4K, you can fix and do quite a few of those. I just had every tv upgraded to oled 4k's from 1080p leds, 4k rokus, integrated with control 4 and lutron radio ra 2, all ran on a 10gbs cat6a infrastructure. Huge difference thus far. I consider myself a good litmus test because when we went HD it was around 2008 and that was later than most, but I got to see what didnt work such as hd dvd vs bluray. We just bought 2 new cameras as well. A canon 1dx mk2 and a sony pxw e100c and I'm still dicking with it so I can learn it to teach my crew the way "I" want it. I think it will help. I'm still deciding on how I will present the 4k to my customer base. In any case, the 1920x1080p will look better than it does now based on how the pixels are arranged in 4k as your raw file. So, it's a better user experience regardless, even if you shoot in 4k but stay hd. It will be interesting though because I know my fans/customer base well and have 13-14 years of comments and pie charts and other crap I can't make sense of. It will be fun to implement that data into a 4k shooting style. Not to mentiion relaunching some sites that never had the manpower to get off the ground properly despite very promising results at first launch. Who knows, but these next few months will be interesting at duke dollars. I'm also looking to pick up some more directors so anyone who's interested shoot me a pm.
