Wow! What a concert!
Sadly, Shitman didn't make an appearance, but most of the other characters were, including The Cow God and a new Rabbi character...
The evening started off with Deadly Seven, who remind me a little of Cycle Sluts From Hell. Great show that ended with the entire bar covered with feathers.
After that, Kreep took the stage and blew the roof off the punk joint...think Pantera X1000. High energy and the best pure music moment of the night.
Ater a looooooooooong changeover, the Radioactive Chickenheads took the stage. The band is made up of a couple guys from GJ and a few other musicians. Then wear chicken head costumes (pictures to come later) and play a silly, but fun show featuring songs like "Cluck You".
Just when we thought it was time for the headliners, a surprise gig from Rosemary's Billygoat exploded over the stage, complete with awesome pyro and a giant pentagram pizza. RBG is also made up from a couple members of GJ and RCH.
Then it was time for Green Jello to hit the stage and almost fucking 1am....they destroyed. Smoke filled the stage as various people were invited onstage for impromptu onstage moshpits. The evening ended with literally everyone that was left in the venue at the end of the 5 hour music marathon invited onstage to sing 3 Little Pigs...The lead singer of GJ was surfing on a crowd of fans on the stage while singing the song. It was amazing and something that could only have been done at a dingy punk club on the outskirts of the Arts District...
This was a secret warmup show for Green Jello who will be touring starting early next month. I highly suggest it for anyone tired of shitty shoegazer bands who just stand there and play their instruments and bitch about making money...
Is it Green Jelly that have a song that pays homage to a bunch of classics? There's a few bars of a bunch of different songs all linked together into a single track (actual playing, not mixing wizardry). I looked on YouTube but couldn't find anything obvious... if it wasn't GJ it was another "we don't take ourselves too seriously" band...
hehe, yeah, I was going to say that was Scatterbrain, but you already beat me to it
GJ has a new song "Gifelte Fish" that has elements of Marilyn Manson's "Beautiful people" laced throughout the song...I remember they also got sued by metallica for "borrowing" song elements
Something odd has happened to these guys over the years...they've actually become pretty damn good musicians while still maintaining the DIY, over the top stage shows

Then there's "Anthem" which a lot of people probably don't know because it was never released as a single and was on their second album, it's one of my favorites from them. I get a kick outta it. "Raise your hands because you got free pop and chips today", ha ha ha.
