    Just discovered the .99 cent store.

    Brand name toothpaste, batteries, hand sanitizer, and other odds and ends I normally shell out $3, $5 to $10 for at Target are only .99 cents! Most of the crap at the store is really bad, especially food items and such, but you can really find some decent day to day name brand stuff for a buck.

    It reminds me of those porn sites that advertise for a $1, but you get batteries instead of porn from the 70's.

      Dollar store parking lot is usually a mix of crappy cars and nice cars. People who need to shop at the dollar store, and people who are smart with their money and choose to shop there.

          Dollar stores

          According to various news articles, these stores have been kicking Walmart's butt. Almost one on every corner. Prices on things like toilet paper cheaper than WallyWorld. No huge parking lot to hike through. Shelves stocked. There have been reports of empty shelves at Wally, as they won't give staff hours, to avoid medical insurance kicking in. No long checkouts, where WallyWorld has dozens of people, with full carts, trying to checkout with 1 or 2 cashiers.
          Walgreens kicks their butt with 24x7x365 pharmacy and actually lower prices on some meds.
          AND none of those "people of Walmart" shopping in what must be Halloween costumes worn by 300+# women

              I usually go and buy cheap earbuds for 99c lol. that way when I destroy them while outside I can break out another cheap pair

                      it's called over stock items. they produce so much they cant shelve it. instead of destroying it they take a smaller profit.

                                                      I don't go to that store but I did go inside of a .99 cent store back when I was living in California. They had some good deals, but most of the products are not so good and the food is awful for you!
