What you have done professionally in the past shouldnt matter too much. What matter's is what your girlfriend turned fiance turned wife knew about what you were doing, if you ever invited her to get involved in someway, and any promises you may of made to her before during or after the marriage.

Honest upfront communication. I am happily married to someone for 7yrs + who is not involved in the industry, and has absolutely no desire to be associated with it, anyway, shape or form. My wife knew from the moment we became serious, ALL of my faults, weaknesses, and the fact that I am occasionally involved in the dark world of porn.

Was she thrilled to be told of all of this. No and Yes. Back then, she rather I been wearing a suit, sitting in the big fancy office, doing the 9 to 5. But she did appreciate the honesty and forewarning. Another thing ... I have always invited her to come down to some of the B2B trade shows to show her, that the biz is not as dark as some people think, and that there are alot of very cool people out there.

Trust and security. There are no secrets between us. If there is a casual meeting of bodies during one of these shows, she knows about it. She trusts that I am IN LOVE with her only, I will never put her life or health in danger, and I will ALWAYS COME HOME.

Alternately (and briefly)... if you can prove that she had branded herself as Ricki Raxx for some considerable time before the person in Hong Kong registered the name, and you can make the arguement that this person is intentionally misleading/misusing the name, you have a chance a filing a petition to have the domain's use cease and be transfered to her.

My wife and I have been married for 9 years and she has no problem with any of the adult content I shoot or work on. She understands it's business and that's it.

Do your self a favor. Get her working side by side with you a few hours a day. Get her involved.

Getting her working side by side will show her just how much work goes into it....

I'm a girl working in adult (not content production) and I can guarantee that after a while it is your job...When I first started, I was like, "Omg, look at that" or "How shocking!" Now, it's just what I do...However, it's hard for people that aren't involved to see it that way. So, like pornguy said, she may feel less threatened if she were more involved.

After a while, photographer don't see a girl fucking a guy, but the lighting, the angle, the this, the that. On the sites, you don't see naked girls, but the messed up code, the loading time, etc.

Just an update - things have been better since that night.
