                                                  more than 30 people with weather tracking devices reported that. And it was ALL over the news for a week or so, and then one day, GONE.

                                                  But the deaths, I saw at least 100 bodies. I was there for the clean up. I would say that out of the 100 I saw, 90 of them were immigrants.

                                                          Read about some of the major storms that have hit the US, and you will be amazed. But dont read what the gubment tells you, read the other books about them.

                                                          The main weather tower for Miami was built of concrete, as it should have been, and was supposed to be able to withstand HUGE hurricane force winds. it last reported the winds at 179 mph, and 30 min later, the tower was gone. Andrew was one of VERY few hurricanes to ever get a class 5 rating.

                                                                      I live in Moore, OK and the May 3, 1999 F5+ tornado we had briefly reached 318MPH and is recognized as the fasted winds ever recorded on Earth. The NOAA center staffed by the University of Oklahoma was only 20 miles away so they were able to verify this.

                                                                                          Really? I was there as well. We had cadavar dogs and went thru what was left of immigrant housing near the orange groves in Homestead. Pulled out many bodies.

                                                                                          And then in Haiti, after Hurricane Gordon, did the same damn thing again.

                                                                                              As of right now they are saying 15 dead so far but this does not include Galveston island. In that they won't specifically answer. One source says 19, another one says 7. At least that's what they are saying right this minute.

                                                                                              However early on they were saying they expected to find hundreds when the water levels go down because in that area they estimate about 10,000 didn't leave and that entire island was under water. Now when that is brought up they either won't answer at all or simply say we don't know what happened to those people. All we can do is hope for the best.

                                                                                                      Yep. I was attached to a PJ group that was helping MetroDade Search and Rescue for the first 5 days after the storm. The PJ's then left, and was continued on.

                                                                                                      There were not enough freezers for the bodies.

                                                                                                      The only thing left on US1 in Florida City was the Miami subs, and a Hotel. Dont rmember the name of it. The building right next to the miami subs was GONE.

The fastest surface wind ever recorded by an anemometer was 231 mph. And that was a gust (NOT a sustained wind) on top of a mountain. That record had held for over 70 years.

                                                                                                              Also, it is just not feasible for a hurricane to reach sustained winds of 300 mph on earth. The oceans would have to be warmer and the average surface pressures lower. Theory and observation are in agreement on this. Kerry Emanuel's work suggests a top sustained wind speed of about 200 mph for a hurricane given present conditions on earth. In addition there have been many hundreds of recon missions into hurricane eyewalls and the top sustained wind speed recorded is somewhere around 200 mph. Not known exactly since flight level winds are a little higher than surface and they have to be reduced in calculation.

                                                                                                              Many airports have anemometers with top readings of 100 knots. About 115 mph. It is just not feasible that there were dozens of people with super expensive anemometers that measured record breaking 300 mph winds and that didn't have their houses blown down first. i don't even know if you could purchase an anemometer that could record that. Certainly not with anything any weather enthusiast would typically buy for his/her home.

After Hurricane betsy destroyed it in 1965, whites moved to better areas and the low income blacks took over. Which is why before Hurricane Katrina and even now, white people dont go back there. Before Hurricane katrina, if my white boy ass would be caught in the lower 9th, I wouldnt even make it out with my shoes.

My area has never flooded and therefore prices are going up... you can buy homes here fo so cheap if you really know the area and where to buy.

                                                                                                                                                                              We live in Jefferson Parish, and as of right now it is the wealthiest parish in the state and the population is booming, new military bases etc... lots of new families moving in.

                                                                                                                                                                              My plan was to move here, spend some much overdue time with family and then slip on out of here and wait for those cali prices to drop a little then buy there.

Their the ones who were never reported to any of the news agency's when the actual death toll was calculated.
