Here's the best thing about being american. You euros drool about Trump and Hillary. You post here day and night. Fucking Russians, Serbians, Albanian, Czechs and every other shit stain talk about what we should do, how we should do... I had no idea up until 2 minutes ago what was going in UK and I could care less. I went to see "Finding Dory" today. I went to "yahoo.com" and still saw that no one gave a flying fuck if UK is in EU or not.

It's not about feeling British, Dutch or European. It's about your ability to vote for people who only represent Holland and aren't dominated by others who don't care about Holland. Because they're voted in to get the best deal for their people.
All Europe needed was a Trade Deal, what it's on its way to is a United States of Europe. On the present evidence as you say. That will be a huge failure. A dictatorship will make it worse.Comment

Well I'm really curious how this will play out. And I'm very curious to see the actual real consequences.
No matter what the critics say, I have to say I'm personally most glad to be an EU citizen. As much as it's described as bureaucratic, and it definitely is, so is just about every political structure. And no I don't have trust in the local government to do "better" - they won't. Their track record for the past 25 years speaks volumes.
In fact I'm terrified that they would operate under their own rule because that would mean selling the country for pennies to whoever comes and strong arms them (or bribes them) next.
In a way, EU has been the only institution that was able to get anything done for actual local people, such as when they ended the endless butt fucking of local customers from the mobile operator cartel charging I guess the second highest prices in the world for ages.
But yes this is of course from the POV of a country that by most means benefits by being a part of EU (and it's not economical immigration), there's increased trade, increased infrastructure investments etc. I also personally feel much more as an European than as a national, travel frequently, do business internationally, and want to keep it that way.Need hosting, cloud, CDN or solutions for your AI? The SNP don't know what they want. So they wanted independence for Scotland 2 years ago, but to still be run by the EU ?? Doesn't make sense.
Scotland voted the stay part of the UK. Then voted to stay part of the EU. Now many are complaining that it was the English vote that has taken us out of the EU. No shit sherlock. That's why we had the independence vote 2 years ago to control our own destiny. We never rook it. So don't complain now...
