While I admit a couple of their movies hold cult status I can't see low budget italian horror/thriller movies as REAL film anymore than these high end comic book movies.

Don't get me wrong though, I like Argento and I'm looking forward to seeing Terza madre, La (Mother Of Tears)

you cannot compare what Mario Bava did with lighting to anything these computer geeks do. Big explosions and costumes? oh my that makes a great film... not

Bava was talent, these studios are just outsourced cgi departments, Lucas and all the other *big* directors hire someone else to do what they cannot...

Bava is above them all.

not correct, usually comic book fans are the first to voice negative opinions of these "movies." Of course some will be diehards and like anything to do with a title, but these movies are not made for the fans of the comics, it is to broaden the brands reach, nothing moe.

more often than not, fans of the comics bash the movies... its been that way for a very long time.

the people who enjoy these "movies" are the ones who never read the original Spiderman comics...

I really didn't care for either of the hulk movies, but Batman are excellent and the Spiderman movies are extremely well done, and Iron Man does kick ass !!!

I was surprised how great heath ledger played joker. And yes I liked Iron man and batman and even spiderman. I belive spiderman is made to be watched mainly for kids but iron man and batman was 15+
