    Elephant List Listing

    Hi All,
    Every gallery I send to Elephant List gets declined for some reason. I just get an email with the link to the rules. Could someone clarify this for me? What am I doing wrong?

      Thats a nice looking gallery. If I had to guess I would think that he doesn't like how you wrapped the thumbs around the banner.

      But if I was him I would list that gallery.

                                                  When I submit a gallery with babes or teens and if I get listed, I usually get listed at or near the bottom.

                                                  If I submit some scraggly hag with 30 extra pounds I DO get a top 5 listing.

                                                  Hoffmann's very picky. He does only want his recip at the top and doesn't take certain sponsors. He also appears to like pics that are out of the norm.

                                                  BUT, his traffic is excellent. So, I make him happy and make galleries that I only submit to the elephant list.

                                                      I think he likes his recip only on the gallery. I put it on the bottom of the gallery and he usually lists them.

                                                              I was wondering if maybe you could manage to compress those pictures a little more. I can almost see the girl in some of them.

                                                              As for the requirements...If a TGP is rigging things so you won't be able to generate any sales, I say "fuck em". What's the point? All of the rules are about nothing more than making sure you don't make any money.

                                                              I see bullshit. It's everywhere, and webmasters don't even know it's bullshit. ;)

                                                                          why is it people make a gallery and INSTANTLY EXPECT, DEMAND and REQUIRE that it be listed? Big TGPs get 2000+ submissions a day. most list about 50-80. how is the TGP supposed to know if you arn't gona screw him around and change the gallery to a popup or some other shit? They already have submitters they know and trust. Ask yourself this question, ok, it's a good gallery, but so are the other 2000 to pick from. why would he/she pick mine?

                                                                              I kinda agree with what Sleazy says... Over the last couple of years the average quality of galleries has improved a lot... I am trying to resubmit stuff I built one year ago and the results I got are nowhere near what I got last year, both in terms of traffic and clickthrough ratio (not to mention joins).

                                                                              In any case, I have some listings with Elephant List every now and then and what the guy likes is a block of pics in the center of the page with no ads between the pictures... only on the top and bottom of the page... If you do that you can probably get listings with galleries even not as good as the one you posted here...

                                                                              just my 2cents anyway...

                                                                                              I usually get half my galleries listed there. Great traffic! Usually I block the pictures for the most part with a text link only between them and a banner too somewhere. No recip I submit to him.

                                                                                              Now, like Sleazy said. These guys get tons of submissions. Could have already had plenty of good galleries for that day.

                                                                                                                          I am not saying that he will list it or not. Elephant list in my own opinion is the hardest TGP to get listed on.

                                                                                                                              Do not wrap pics around ads for his submits - and what do you do? wrap the pics around a text link and submit away. Do you know what? If I were him, I'd get sick of seeing you making the same mistake and blacklist you. Just so I have to hit the decline button one less time a day.

                                                                                                                                      Have you not read half the posts here? It might get listed, it might not. I'd say your second one has a better chance, but that doesn't change the fact that he gets 2k submissions a day, and that 500 of them are as clean or more clean than yours. Unless you know him or pay for spots, not every gallery you submit will get listed. Just submit good galleries on a regular basis, and you'll start getting listed more often.
