I have a few others....

Framebuster - Pops a picture out of a frame. Helpful getting traffic from Google picture search.

Askimet - It's worth buying the damn API key.

Page Link Manager - This little known plugin allows you to create and publish pages without them showing on the main blog. I have dozens of such pages on my main blog.

Simple Title -Removes Blog Name from all pages except main because of double keywords danger

WP Page Navi - Better page navigation. I always use this.

Indeed it is, a few months back i had AVG start going off on a few free wordpress themes I had downloaded. There was some odd javascript inserted into the footer.php. I had to pull them from my archive, luckily I hadn't used either of them. not sure what exactly the code did, but I didn't want it there!

Exactly why I started using it. There are plenty of times when I'll just mod a free theme instead of buying one and A LOT of the free themes have malicious code or tricky link cloaking that you wouldn't immediately notice. That plug-in is the first line of defense in keeping your theme from getting screwed and your site from getting penalized in the SERPS.

i started using cystats for stats the other week its pretty cool... also there's a new version of statpress called statpress reloaded .. someone took over the reigns since it looks like the irisco chick/dude stopped supportin statpress
