Ps4 has sold around double of the xbox one because it is a better console. If he is ten years old you might want to consider a gaming pc. I got one recently and glad i did. I dont play games with a keyboard and mouse. You just buy a wired xbox 360 controller, plug it in and it just works like a console. No messing about plus he has a pc to use if he doesnt have one already.Comment

Not true, it sold double the amount because the Playstation has been around way longer than the xbox and has a much larger fanbase, plus the whole of Asia is using playstations.
I had the playstation years back but switched to xbox 360 and now the Xbox one.. I just like the look and feel better just like i prefer an iphone over a samsung phone.. Oh and the voice recognition is much better on xbox one.. Playstation has way more games though, not saying more quality games but def much more developers for sony's platform.Comment

I thought the xbox 360 was better than the ps3 last gen but this gen its the ps4. Microsoft made all sorts of problems for themselves before the console was even released. Restrictions on playing used games, Kinect came with the console and not without, then removing it when they knew it was crap. Still glad i have moved over to PC from consoles though.Comment

If your kid likes Minecraft (like mine do), go for the XBox One. It's still better on the computer, but my kids also love playing split screen mode on the XBox. That's what tipped the scales for me. XBox also has Robox, Goat Simulator, and a ton more in their online game center.- *** -Comment

Yeah I heard about these rumors back when the one was released and if those were true i wouldn't buy a one cause I buy a lot of used games..
But I can tell your from experience that playing used games is not a problem on the One.. Kinect I don't know, don't really use it.
And yeah of course the PC ownes the consoles but lets be real here, a console you buy and your good to go for years to come.. A pc you will have to upgrade almost yearly for lots of $$$ to be able to play the newest games in the highest res. Not to mention that if you really want a true gaming pc its going to set you back a couple of thousand $$Comment

The only thing I don't like about Xbox are the constant software updates, just like Windows. Nothing sucks more than sitting down to play a game than to have to wait while it updates. Then again I'm sure PS4 is similar.
Regardless, now is NOT the time to buy a new console. Wait until both MS and Sony release the new platforms or until they start supporting VR. I'm just guessing but I think Sony is probably far ahead of MS on this. I wouldn't be surprised if we see VR versions in time for the Christmas season. I plan to test the hell out of both before buying. Whoever can give me GTA5 (or GTA6) in VR gets my moolah.Comment

I had a PS4 and LOVED the exclusive games on it, plus there's more great exclusives coming up still this year. My kids and most of my friends have Xbox One, so I sold my PS4 and jumped to Xbox One, which is nice because I can now actually play games with people I know, HOWEVER, there's really no must have exclusives on the Xbox One and I miss my PS4
