McCain has already said he will appoint strict constructionist judges to the court which would be a big blow to this industry.

Exactly. I heard him say this yet again on the View today. He said he wants to get a couple of judges into the supreme court that don't agree with roe vs wade.

And on to some real news.... gas is getting way too expensive again.

I think if McCain is elected he will basically be a lame duck. The Democrats will be very pissed that they lost the election, but they will still hold the house and senate by large margins and they will do whatever they can to make McCain look bad. You thought Bush had trouble getting cabinet members approved by the senate? That was a republican controlled senate, not a democrat controlled senate with a chip on its shoulder. They will work hard to make him look bad so that in four years they have another shot at the white house. Palin and McCain could go on a crusade against porn, but I doubt they would do it via an all out assault on us like in the past. These days the genie is out of the bottle. Sure, they might step up prosecutions of the more extreme niches, but most of the time they lose those fights (the Max Harcore convictions being the exception) when the defendants put up a fight. I don't know that they would have the funds or manpower to carry out much of a full on assault and I don't know how much of an assault the public at large would accept. Sure the bible thumpers would be happy, but much of the country would wonder why we are spending time and money going after porn when we still are fighting two wars and dealing with terrorism, Russia, Iran and other problems.

If they come after us I think it will be through bookkeeping laws and regulations. Things like 2257 where they will write up laws that are illegal and unconstitutional then call them things like "Protecting Children From Predators Act." Of course the law will have nothing to do with protecting kids, but nobody will vote against an law called that. The law ends up challenged in court and we play more stupid games. What I am getting at is that I don't think McCain can shut us down. I don't even know that we would be his first target. McCain was a maverick up until around 4-5 years ago then he fell in lock step with the party so he could have a shot at winning the white house. Now he has that shot. If he wins there is no way of knowing that he won't go right back to being the old maverick. Either way, the house and senate will be up his ass every step of the way.

McCain doesn't worry me. Palin scares the shit out of me because I think she is a nut and there is no telling what, if McCain dies, she would do. If McCain get's elected he better stay healthy.
