I am not sure what was the last version I was using.
Here you have older version and all I've tried (3 different) works fine but I didn't find verison I had until today

switched to qip like 15 years ago... since it uses almost no bandwidth at all, I just leave it there.. many ppl still use it :D and the icq spam messages are still awesome.

ICQ might suck but the reality is a lot of people still only use ICQ. If you do not do business with others, then dropping ICQ if you want is not a big deal. I am trying to get used to new version 10 but it looks empty and like the copy of Viber desktop. Years of looking in more or less same interface make this change unbearable.

I got icq 10 working, was able to login after much hassle. BUT, seriously I don't like it, far from.
I already moved back to trillian which came with a nice surprise for me, the 6.0 BETA with a new UI and minimalistic design.
Don't like ICQ 10, try trillian folks it's trilltastic. Plus I love the new design...

While I was on vacation my office computer crashed and ICQ did an auto-update to ICQ 10 which looks TERRIBLE and made me leave ICQ and use only Skype. The ICQ 10 version is the most lame and disgusting clone of skype EVER
Why the hell did they alter from the superb oldskool version of 2003b or so I have no idea.
I was unable to downgrade/alter the new look which made me quite mad
So Fuck ICQ!
