News 18 of the 2,472 GOP delegates are black

Actually, it?s more like a blip.

According to a June 1 email sent to an undisclosed list of recipients by Telly Lovelace, the national director for African American initiatives and urban media for the Republican National Committee, so far, only 18 of the 2,472 delegates headed to the Cleveland convention next month will be black. Just 18!

I'm surprised there's 18 black people willing to pretend they're Republicans. I thought Fox News had cornered the market on that.

It's a free paid vacation to Cleveland I'm sure they'll rush to pump the number in the next few weeks. Calling Irwin Jones

Thats the number as it currently stands. With the racial issues going on today, things will have to change and the number will most likely have to go up.

So the GOP will be PC to avoid conflict. Classic. I'll vote GOP this election if they replace Trump with a Romney, Ryan or the likes. I'm obviously against having toxic Trump shoved down my throat.

The GOP aren't going to change anything for the convention. They understand that they can't get black people to vote for them and they aren't even trying anymore.

Latinos have made the black voter irrelevant numbers wise. GOP needs to mend fences with some Latinos. Many Latinos are actually quite conservative. Like some Blacks who vote GOP. Well heeled, affluent blacks.

The GOP can hope, on a good day, to get 10-12% of the black vote, but G.W. Bush got about 45% of the Latino vote, but Romney only got 27%. They know they have a shot at winning Latino voters back which is why they hated Trump because he is likely going to do very badly with these to voting blocks.
