    Tired of Telemarketers?

    I know I am. When my landline rings, I know that 99% of the time it is going to be someone I don't want to hear from.

    The old Do Not Call Registry had an expiration date, but I guess they have changed that and now telephone numbers placed on the National Do Not Call Registry will remain on it permanently due to the Do-Not-Call Improvement Act of 2007, which became law in February 2008.

                  I just re-registered, because the number of calls per day has been getting crazy lately. I have caller ID, so I usually just hang up on them, but even that gets to be a pain in the ass.

                      I spend so much time on the road that I didn't really pay attention to the number of telemarketers calling, but as I have been home for a few weeks it became clear that my last registration must have expired.

                          I let my landline go to voicemail because of that reason. The DoNotCall reg seems to work fine for business telemarketers, but organizations looking for donations still call quite a bit.
