    Domain Purchase Question

    If someone says they want 18k for a domain. What do you think their rock bottom is?

      do a reverse whois and see what other domain names he has, based on this you will see the quality of his portfolio and you will get a better picture of how motivated he is to sell...

                      I see his is a pro investor by the email you sent me, his sales page is kinda well thought out and I do not think he is in a hurry to sell...this does not mean that 18K is his final price but I do not think he will give it under 12-14K depends on how much HE values the domain in his mind...

                                      Branding value for a site idea or speculative traffic value to you? Probably you wont get both. You could have to spend $250K to establish a brand's top of mind recognition -- unless, you also have some great speculative viral action in mind.
