Hospitals In Amsterdam Are Euthanizing Babies

Doesn't look like they've got too much public support on this decision.

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands - A hospital in the Netherlands ? the first nation to permit euthanasia ? recently proposed guidelines for mercy killings of terminally ill newborns, and then made a startling revelation: It has already begun carrying out such procedures, which include administering a lethal dose of sedatives.

Indeed. Why prolong the inevitable pain for the child and its parents? How many days can you watch your child die before you go crazy?

Because some people believe life is sacred, and also believe that infants should suffer unbearably without any chance of surviving just to satisfy those beliefs.

Surprisingly, many of the same people also support the death penalty.

Then those people shouldnt do it and allow others who wish to do so.

Well, yes, but their strict moral code tends to focus mainly on making others live by that strict moral code, and less on following it themselves.

I think that all people, at any age should be able to choose to be euthanized. There are too many damned people in this world already and terminally ill people who are being forced to endure the pain and their families along with them are just costing us money, time and effort that could be better spent.

It's time for a major re-aligning of the world's priorities.

My stepmother is a midwife and here's a secret: it's been happening for at least 20 years in the US. Not every parent believes in prolonging the pain and suffering of a terminally ill baby.
