    Pure fantasy.

Those who can not or will not kill will always be subject to those that can and do.

Any civilization made of men is bound to end in ruin. We call that nature.

      Now about my thoughts.

Hal I got no faith in the system.
The government is Bipolar, the guys in charge agree on absolutly nothing, the media feeds the people nothing but shit depending on who is paying them the most.

      The system is cracked.
I look forward to civil war to restore what America's Dream really was about.
      TOday it is just that...

America's Dream. Keep in mind it used to be a reality.

The system as it is now would rather see you dead or at a work camp doing 9-5 just to rob you of your freedom and cash you out when you are to old to fend for yourself.

It's a sad thing really. But thats America today.

Our Founding Fathers were very much burners.

I think 99% of America really doesn't get the American Dream. Its not about a big house, expensive car, wife and kids. Its about FREEDOM.

I moved from California to Louisiana and lost several liberties, and its freaked me out so I am returning to where I can be free again.

Is that how you see the powerful people in today's world? Angelina Jolie may be willing to kill, but I doubt that is why she has power.

And Jesus never killed anyone. ;)

I like you Hal. You are real inspiration to me. You’re one of the those people thats not concern about the money, wealth and what you are in the eyes of others. You are my hero in some way.. I too refuse to grow up in what most consider the right way of evolution. I saw you grandpa Caleb’s (sp) videos and was saying to myself that when I get old, that the way I’m going to be.
I have a house in Jimbaran Bay in Bali, place that I secured for my retirement and I’m not even 40, but when I do get there, and my kids are off to college, I will be there enjoying my life away from all this… If you ever want to come to Bali let me know. Free of charge.

Great perspective. I've found that anyone who is CERTAIN, simply cannot be trusted. I am intense in my attitudes, but always willing to listen to new ones. I change my mind every day.

I feel you on the decompression factor. It's so hard to go from a free loving, bartering fabulous lifestyle back to the real world.

I have been doing some great festivals this year...BurningMan is on my list to experience.

I've *always* wanted a place on the Esplanade to chill and watch the gorgeous parade of beautiful burners. So when we found out we had Esplanade placement (like the "boardwalk" of Burning Man) I volunteered to create the shade space of my dreams.

It exceeded my expectations. Every morning I cleaned up the bottles and whip-it cartridges from the people who found it to be a warm party place for the night. Nearly every morning someone slept in the couch and every afternoon someone caught up on Z's too. The highlight was when 20 or so Bats sat in our cabana and watched the Burn from afar. So intimate and perfect. Maybe my best (and farthest away) burn ever.

Next year we have plans to expand the Pink Lounge into something even better.

Hal. Beautiful post my friend. And as is evidenced here, you are not alone in your thoughts. I see your sig says "something is coming", and I too have something to share very soon which I think will compliment your words very well. Stay tuned.

I'm saving your post to read again. Like you said the theme this year wasn't very inspiring at first but I did get more from it than I thought I would. That's always a pleasant surprise, but given the nature of BRC it shouldn't be a surprise at all. Normal expectations aren't very useful at Burning Man.

I did manage to see you at BMAN ever so briefly from afar on your bike. I was a bit too far away talking with some friends. It's too bad I didn't get to spend a little time with you, but it was somehow just reassuring to see you there.

I'm not sure where those giant wings were. I never saw that piece. But certainly the city was humongous this year. The biggest ever.

Thanks again for the post. Spot on.
