Blogs setup, traffic coming, where's the dough?

    Hello all.

I'm currently running 3 blogs that I update daily. I've got my affiliates lined up, I've been trading hardlinks and submitting my sites to blog directories and creating promo galleries to submit to other TGP's and whatnot.

In the last month or so I've increased my traffic to around 51k uniques/month, and I'm on pace this month to be closer to 200k.

    My question is this:

Is this enough traffic to start making dough? I've been working on these blogs since March this year and haven't earned a dime yet. Perhaps I'm doing it wrong? You can check out my sites at:

    boobieparade[dot]com
    boobiesupreme[dot]com
    imnekkid[dot]com
    (I can't post url's yet)

If the sites suck, let me know why and how you'd change them around for more success. If you have some pearls of wisdom to bestow, I'd be happy to listen to them. To give you some perspective, I'd like to earn enough from affiliate conversions to pay for my hosting and maybe make a few extra bucks a month (heck, even an extra Benjamin would go a long way!).

I appreciate your responses in advance,

I wish I could help you, but I am still learning myself; from what I can see though and the basic knowledge that I have learned, you have pretty nice designs and a good setup.

It is inspiring to see someone pursue it!

i would consider putting one good image per set on the front page of the blog, then building a gallery page for each set with good descriptions and titles, and then linking to each full sized image from there

that will provide more opportunity to feed the spiders, as well as more space for monetization and trades.

there are a lot of people running babe blogs in one of the irc channels i live in, some of them are very helpful...

2 uniques a day can be enuogh to make some 'dough'. It depends on the quality, niche and website lay out. If you are not making any sales with these numbers than I would consider doing an analysis on your type of traffic and visitors. A few good questions would be:

'How long does an average visit to my page takes?'
'Where do my visitors come from?'
'What do my visitors look at on my blogs?'

          First analyse and than act.

As a general rule you can take 1,5-3,5$/ a day per 1k uniques a day.

So I'm guessing you have like 1.750 uniques a day blog traffic (meaning people looking for free porn acquired thru trades and bookmarks) = 2,6$-6,1$ a day

I saw you post like 1-2 posts a day, try posting more, the big blogs have like 6-8 posts a day.

Also don't rely on one sponsor , you should at least offer 3-4 sponsors one your blog (taking into account your traffic is looking for free porn)

You really need to add some spider food to your post aka SE rich text. Make sure you are adding roughly 150 words per post. This should send some quality google traffic your way, which should convert into sales.

Those aren't blogs. Those are TGPs running on blog software.

50k uniques a month should bring you like $xxxx you need to rework where your traffic comes from because it seems like it's not the greatest

He only has about 1500 or so uniques a day of what amounts to TGP traffic. What he has isn't blog traffic. He has picture clickers, not readers.

Blog cash comes from the search engines, the beauty of blogs is they get listed quick so people can find (and buy) the content they want quickly.

Focus on quality of vistors over the quantity. Stop masturbating over stats for a week and spend time writing posts to feed those search engines then the cash will flow easily

quantity not the only issue, quality of traffic matters in dough generation

Thanks for the help so far...

The idea of Quality over Quantity traffic makes good sense to me. Clearly the traffic I'm getting isn't Quality. A vast majority of my traffic comes from Foobies.com. Every time I get listed there, I get at least 5k uniques. Unfortunately, the only sale I've made is one Virtua Girl purchase for 10 bucks.

I like the idea of making promo galleries and submitting them to sites similar to Foobies. The only issue I'm having is that most places I've seen want you to pay them to get listed. Since I'm not making any money, I can't afford to pay for spots. Anyone know of any places I can post promo galleries that'll generate decent traffic?

                            Thanks again,

and the pics shown on there are small and crappy imho.

each blog post should be 100+ words of rich text with your target keyword phrases in them.

submitting daily isn't as important as submitting quality.

I agree with people saying you need to write more and create some simple galleries to link to as oppose to having them all laid out on your main page.

It'll only take an hour tops to create a simple template that you can use again and again. Just make sure there's plenty of space to whore out your sponsors on it.

I love it when people come and ask for advice, then when experienced webmasters make suggestions, our suggestions are completely ignored. Folks, if you are going to ask for advice and then never take it, don't bother asking.
                                                I like pie.

                                                  I love you guys!

Trust me, I'm taking everything you say to heart. I'm going to completely swap around my whole concept of what my sites are, why they exist, and how I'm going to market them. I just need time to rework my templates, do some minor coding and whatnot.

In the meantime, I'd like to keep generating traffic (even if it doesn't convert, because the more people that see my site, the more potential sales I make). I'll work on adding more "spider bait" for the search engines, and I'll try to refrain from turning Wordpress into a TGP.

Thanks again to all of you for your advice.

Also this, if there are any of you successful webmasters out there that live in the Atlanta area, hit me up on AIM (username= ponyhijinx) or email ([email protected]). I'd love to meet up for a beer (on me of course) and kick ideas around.

                                                  Thanks again all,
                                                  Aneal K.
