ya mainstream sites have so many ads these days it is out of control. I think these days you can get more malware from mainstream sites than porn sites

The problem is that you have a $1200 computer. If you had a macbook pro (in rose gold finish) that cost three times more, you would be OK.

your wifi could be the problem. if im hard wired in i get great speeds but 2.4 ghz wifi signal can be good sometimes but is often terrible. 5ghz work fine though.

Install an ad blocker when you surf those sites, it should resolve any issues you have.

Pulling in javascript, fonts, images etc from 20 different servers increases render time.

It shits me when I scroll down to the top of an article and start reading as it's still loading, then the font changes or an extra image appears and the whole thing shifts.

Or there's a gigantic popover begging you to subscribe 3 seconds after you load the page.

maybe your internet is so fast, web servers cant keep up with it.

top speed and latency are 2 different things., just saying,
sometimes my connection acts weird too if i do too much torrenting, bcoz ISP slows you down. need to reset router 4-5 times to fix it.
