The best lock is one that doesn't even need a key. A fingerprint works better. No losing the key unless you lose your hands and if that happens you are going to the hospital and not home. We had a safe in our old house that worked like that. I wish we could have taken it with us.
Not having to remember a combo or hiding the key or anything like that. Just pressing your finger and done
