I'm not going to do a tube for the same reason I don't own an ipod..
(I own an iphone but that doesn't count it's gen1, i'm canadian and I hacked it)

I agree. Millions and millions of people are becoming addicted to pornography because of the tube sites. Then, when President Obama orders tube traffic blocked at the ISP level, it will be like a new golden age for paysites.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. That sounds more like a REPUBLICAN/telco's best friend agenda.
That Wired article is so flawed on so many levels I don't even know where to start. I remember reading it on a plane and wanting to scream.
Exactly.
Anyone with a brain cell knows you can't stay in business offering free. Funny how a bunch of online dipshits, most with no business sense, keep talking about this shit like it's a business plan.
Here's a fucking clue. If you think this model can be successful. Go pitch it to the SBA, or your local bank. As them for a business loan. Explain how you are going to offer everything for free, especially the part about things you do not own the rights to, but somehow still turn a profit.
Once they are done laughing in your face, go sign up for say.... Business 101, and Economics 101. Learn how BUSINESS is fucking done.
How this online industry has survived with no business sense is beyond me. However, that is what you get as a result of the bar being set so low. Ignorant motherfuckers thinking that giving away for free, content they do not own the license to, is somehow a successful business practice.
It's a fucking joke.

did you even read the article.
The only way you could come to the conclusion you just spouted was if you stopped reading at the title.
The impact of wanting free comes from the audience, the article talks about the ways you can meet that demand and still make money. I have gotten over a dozen bank loans for different ventures based on giving away content for free. Tube sites make money right now by giving content away for free , by selling the eyeballs that consume the content for free (that was just one of the examples they gave)
“When crimes occur through the mail, you don’t shut the post office down,” Steve Wozniak
Marketsmart taught me the wise ways of the tube jedi. Now I have 22 tube sites up, running, and growing faster than an erection in a whorehouse on "Buy One Get One Free" day.
Any good links on basic tutorials on how to run one of these things and set them up? I have some minor experience with tgp's as a "come-lately" but would love to learn more about the tube site phenomenom
Drive traffic to what? You need fucking CONTENT to send them to. This doesn't even go into repeat visitors, value of the site to surfer, bookmarks and the rest.

Content they do not own? Good business model. One lawsuit, or DMCA, from being out of business. You missed the fucking point. Typical.

Hey, dude, I don't want this to sound smart ass or like I'm doubting you cause I'm really interested in this tube stuff, and it sounds like you know what you're doing, but I can get better results than that if the hun accepts a couple galleries from the same domain in the same week.

Of course you can, anyone can if you submit galleries...
Do tell us the secrets of how to get the No Data rank!
The site has not been live long enough for it to get the new screen cap and log the data, but the graph still registers... Click 7 day and see how it is taking of....

How is this any different from a gallery submission? If I submit a gallery (that gets accepted) it looks like my site is taking off.
