Here's the thing Jane.....people who run discussion boards don't like to be "called out" on their own board. They don't like people that stand up to them. They don't like people who have balls. I know this from personal experience. The best way to get along with people who run discussion boards is to just blend in with the rest of the sheep, don't call them out or cause them any stress and you'll be just fine. Dean, as much as what you say is true, it isn't right. If someone wants to have their own discussion board they need to be prepared for people calling them out and anyone else. Last time I checked, free speach was a part of good ol' USA. I don't understand why people get banned from boards just because the owners/managers of the board don't like what the poster has to say. I've dealt with this same issue, having people come to my board to harrass me. Guess what, I eventually banned them. No time for games, and it does not make me money.
You guys can argue all you want about balls, being called out, etc. But what it *really* comes down to, is that board owners are running a business and really don't have time to piss with people on their own board!
Can you imagine if you ran a business, and someone was constantly walking in and telling you they have a right to stand right there and fight with you? Like they have some rights and you somehow owe it to them to engage? A business is a private entity, just like this board. Forums have never been some free speech platform for opinions, although some believe they are. When the topics are not in the interest of the business owner, they will deal with it. Just like IRL biz, you will be tossed out.
