    Is this Legal (dont worry not CP)

    Found this music site : http://www.mp3fiesta.com

    Its $1.40 for an entire album, or around 20c a track. Seems too good to be true.

    Anyone used this site?

                      If it really is Russian like the above poster said then your name will never come up because the RIAA won't ever get the list. They couldn't take down allofmp3.com for the longest time (Russian) but finally the Russian gov made them shutdown after years and years of being up selling mp3s. I'm quite sure the RIAA never got a list of allofmp3.com customers, that would've been posted at some major news site. Not to mention they were tricking people into thinking it's legit.

                      Not that I am telling anyone to buy from there, that would be shitty.

                          There's a lot of those sites around, they're all illegal. There are only a handful of sites around that can sell music online, which are the big companies like Apple and Real.

                              You are correct, mp3fiesta.com is an illegal site. I am an artist from the 1960's that was in a rock n' roll band. Two of my songs were reissued by an American record company and I receive yearly royalties from that company.
                              I contacted the record company and asked the owner if he had given permission to mp3fiesta.com to put the CD compilation up for download. He said no and I told him I never gave permission for my songs to be downloaded either.

                              I then contacted mp3fiesta.com at [email protected] and (ROMS) at [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]. ROMS stands for "Russian Organization on Collective Management of Rights of Authors and Other Rightholders in Multimedia, Digital Networks & Visual Arts". I informed mp3fiesta.com and ROMS that my music is up for download on mp3fiesta.com without my permission which is an infringement of my copyright. I asked that my music be removed for downloading. Anyone that thinks that I heard back from either of them is naive.

                              Mp3fiesta.com is nothing but a bunch of thieves. I will never see a cent in royalties from mp3fiesta.com even though they have this statement up listed under "LEGAL INFO". "All materials distributed by MP3fiesta.com comply with copyright license #IT-02/07 and neighboring rights license #IT-02-1/07 issued by UPO "AVTOR".
                              In accordance with the agreement Site Owner pays license fees for all materials downloaded from the Site subject to the International Copyright Law. Authors, Artists and other Copyright holders including major labels are paid their fair dues. The copyright observation requires you to use the music files presented on MP3fiesta.com for private listening only. The Site Administration cannot control the use of materials, presented on MP3fiesta.com. Downloading music files from our Site, Customer takes liability for it's further use. This responsibility depends on national legislation of the country where the Customer resides".

                              Sound like a fairy tale to me. It would be a waste of money for me to try to suit this company. Russia is outside of USA copyright laws.
