I have been sober so many times so much for so long I don't even remember what being drunk is like
Meanwhile last time I had a few drinks some terrible asshole used that against me to get me in all kinds of trouble
One thing I can tell you about drinking, often you will do ignorant stupid things to get into trouble, but if you ever are drinking and don't do any of that, someone will manage to accuse you of something and then everyone will believe anyone but you, since you were drinking

Quitting for a specific reason?

My drinking criteria:

- Work done for the day
- Never in the morning, usually before bed or in the evening if doing something social
- Aim for social situations versus alone, but alone is fine if you're not drinking to "forget" but rather to enjoy life.

The biggest reason I have my night caps or drinks in the afternoon is to relax my mind. I think TOO much. And I don't do anything like get too drunk or blackout drunk, just the right amount.
