While I agree, it is not the Gov's job to tell us Business owners how we can run our business. It is the Gov's job to help us stay alive by providing tax incentives that make it worth our while to do business in the U.S.

In the past, the Gov has enacted tax deferral incentives for companies that have overseas corps/money. Instead of taxing them at 35%, they tax at like 5-6%. Doing this has double even tipple the money Companies bring into the country, which even at 5% ends up being a hellish amount more tax collected that at 35% due to the trillions they bring in.

If you want to boost the eco, create jobs, create factories to build things, correct healthcare, ss, and the list goes on and on. The Gov needs to stop taxing our money that we are using to build the damn Country with.

Thats why when you hear people talk about "evil corporations" "tax the corporations" "corporations should pay more" "the rich don't pay enough in taxes" you should be very afraid. The stupid are slowly but surely inheriting the earth.

Governments job is actually to help us stay alive by protecting us from Tyranny and foreign invaders. The taxes are supposed to support their effort. Somehow, the government has grown to the enormous beast that it is today - mostly by whiney turds demanding they be taken care of in one way or another thus created endless lists of governemnt programs that all need oversight and management thus ever feeding the growth of the beast.

Close enough. But yes, if you want to stimulate growth cut taxes. This touches on our current economy... which contrary to popular opinion, is NOT in a recession and is in many terms measurably better that at any point during the last 12 years. The IRS recently released data showing that the AVERAGE medium income levels had one of their LARGEST jumps ever! In reference to TAX CUTS for the rich, IRS data released early this year reporting on tax year 2006, the bottom 50% of tax payers say a REDUCTION in overall tax burden while the TOP 10% say an INCREASE: 2001 bottom 50% paid 3.97% and in 2006 paid 2.99%; 2001 top 10% paid 64.89% and in 2006 paid 70.79%.

Actually its been republicans who have stood vigilantly on the free speech rights of every American - to include the adult industry. One thing about republicans, is they generally prefer less regulation and governemnt intervention and free speech for one is free speech for all. And last I looked it was the democrat run Senate in California that wanted to create a special 25% tax on the Adult industry.

Hardly! John McCain is almost identical to what JFK would have stood for. That makes him a democrat in my book. Barrack Obama is almost identical to your typical European Socilalist. Its simple. Obama is underprepared an has virtually zero qualifications. While McCain (or the old grumpy dude) has a lifetime that while its filled with blunders (such as the carrier fire) completely trumps the community organizer's. He basically doesn't stand a chance. He is actually behind in the polls at a time when every other democrat in his position enjoyed 15-20% point leads. Especially since everyone dislikes Bush right? The current administration right?

The worst on Obama is yet to come. I believe the McCain camp has as many as 3 major bombshells that will redefine the term 'October surprise'. At least thats what I am hearing. Also - the democrat attorney general in one state just filed a lawsuit charging that Obama's birth certificate is a forgery and that he is actually a citizen of as many as two or three other countries - thus he is constitutionally ineligible to be president.

Personally - I'm not voting for either of them. I don't believe in either of them and therefor will vote for an independent or no one at all. But my vote here in California wont really matter anyway. The whole thing will be over before they even begin to count the votes out here and the winner will be McCain. And I fully expect McCain to win by a landslide - 8-14%.

The good news... I dont expect McCain to run for a 2nd term, so in 2012 it will be the VP (either Romney or Hutchinson) running against Hillary. If you ask me, I won't be surprised if the Clintons release the rest of their dirt on Obama through some back channels as well - cause basically if Obama wins, the Clintons are over, and they won't stand for that...lol

While your argument may sound nice on paper, lets see how the numbers add up. When Bush took office, the market was at 10,732.46. It is now at 11,500. That's 700 point in almost 8 year, not even 10%. It's just over 1% a year in growth. That is extremely poor, especially considering that the market isn't showing any signs of recovering soon.

As for economy being better than any point in the last 12 years, I don't even know how to respond. I hope you mistyped, or perhaps you are living in some cave. If you invest in anything at all, you would know that's not true. If you sell any product to the U.S. public, you know that is not true. If you buy stuff for yourself in this country with an American dollar, you would know that's not true. Huge credit crunch, banks going under, inflation skyrocketing, unemployment up, and no growth. We're in the midst of a pretty crappy time of stagflation and is probably the worst economic times we've seen in 12 years. Lets not forget that our debt is now at record numbers that are mind boggling.

I agree with you on the wealthy paying too much in taxes. But just say that. You don't need to make up some silly talking point on how the tax cuts will somehow stimulate the economy and make it prosper (when it has in fact done the opposite). I liked the tax cuts because I like it when we pay less taxes, but I think it's retarded to do so during a war and time of high spending.

Conservative judges have consistently voted against the adult industry for decades. That is a fact. There are a lot of books on the Supreme Court that can give you the ideologies of both sides and what they stand for. If you're in the adult industry, you want liberal judges. This shouldn't even be up for discussion if anyone has ever known the history of adult in the U.S. and are familiar with guys like Larry Flynt and Hugh Hefner.

As for laws and intervention, Republican administrations have charged more people with obscenity charges than Democratic ones.

OK.. LOOK, for those who are really interested, the Economy is not as jacked up as some would have you believe. Unfortunately, we live in a world shaped by headlines not facts.

Proof of this is easy to see when people make posts like this:
First of all - the DJII is not a measure of the US economy - unless you consider that the Worlds largest, strongest economy can be measured by the performace of publically traded shares of 30 US companies. Since those are typically the largest companies in their market segment, that are hardly considered growth investments. Their 10 year historical average ROR is right around 7.5%. You neglect to mention that in that time frame, the US economy had entered a true recession in the 2nd term of the previous presidential administration that bottomed out in 2003 - with the DJII hitting the low mark below 7,800. The robust recovery engineered by the tax cuts, resulted in the DJII hitting a high mark in excess of 14,000. Thats an nearly 100% recovery growth rate over a 54 month time period.

The average unemployment rate during the last 8 years is lower that that of the previous 4 decades!

For those who don't know, in economic studies, the definition of a recession is two consecutive quarters with negative GDP growth. For those who have not taken the time to look, here:
2007:2= 4.8, 2007:3= 4.8, 2007:4= -0.2, 2008:1= 0.9, 2008:2= 3.3

And yes, that last number is 3.3% thats the GDP growth rate for 2nd quarter 2008. So unfortuantely no... so recession. Is the current economic oulook in the US good? Yes. Great in fact. But unfortunately there are specific segments that are in real trouble. and yes, more banks will fail in the coming years. But who's to say thats a bad thing? Perhaps the US congress will learn yet another lesson on why its bad to meddle with the private financial industry by creating legislation that allows or even forces banks to fund high risk loans... but thats an entirely different rant isn't it.
