He's been pulled from UFC 200 by Dana White for refusing to come to Vegas to do the promo.

Yeah he got pulled from the diaz fight for saying he wanted to stay in iceland training rather than do the pressers. Dana pulled him straight away and so he pulled this twitter retirement. He thought he was bigger than the game.

so this all might be a publicity stunt?

I think its more than being scared of diaz, even though nate will definitely beat him. Mainly because dana and fertitta apparently tried to convince him to do a title defence rather than a diaz rematch but he insisted on it. Unless he got 'the fear' later. Then nate apparently retired which i don't think is true for a second, just think he is teasing conor. Now cm punk has also retired? He is just jumping on the publicity i think.

I think dana will talk him out of this and we will see a title defence later in the year. It's that or lose his belt, which i don't think will sit well with him.

I am just trying to do my job and fight here.

I have become lost in the game of promotion and forgot about the art of fighting.
There comes a time when you need to stop handing out flyers and get back to the damn shop.
50 world tours, 200 press conferences, 1 million interviews, 2 million photo shoots, and at the end of it all I?m left looking down the barrel of a lens, staring defeat in the face, thinking of nothing but my incorrect fight preparation. And the many distractions that led to this.
Nothing else was going through my mind.
It is time to go back and live the life that got me this life.
