Would you still feel this way about the cop if the guy speeding crashed into and killed your mother, father, brother, sister, son or daughter??? And then come to find out later that it was because his dog was choking???? I'm an animal lover and would do anything to save my furry friend but the cop was just doing his job to keep others safe. I agree that pets become like family members but animals don't have a family to support.

Women can't drive worth shit to begin with... Add "stress" and women REALLY can't drive. Women can't handle pressure. This chick was a driving missile and more dangerous than me driving 10 minutes after finishing 20 shots of tequila. I would bet MONEY I would be a better driver after that many shots than this chick under pressure.

Watching people drive under the slightest amount of stress is a fucking train wreck.
This dude thought it was ok to run from a cop and almost double the speed limit.
I wonder if he thought it would also be ok to run red lights and cross the yellow line?

I don't think there is one person anywhere who thinks the guy should not have been pulled over. Of course he should be pulled over, if someone going 100mph isn't pulled over, then the cop isn't doing his job.
However, upon realizing why the car was speeding and the desperate state of the dog's health, the cop's better judgement should have been to empathize with the couple and toss them in the back of the cruiser and go to the vet with the cherry's on. Then he can reprimand the guy for speeding, give him a ticket, throw him in jail, give him a lecture, etc, etc.. maybe then the animal might have had a chance.
The difference here is the cop was a dick - an insensitive ego-maniac control-freak asshole playing God. It's possible the dog would have died anyway, but this piece of shit made sure that the innocent animal, obviously a beloved family pet, never had a chance.
Sure, it's "just a dog", but that dog meant something to these people and this cop only thought of himself. Police Officers are suppsed to be model citizens, this officer's lack of compassion and empathy makes him less than human.I died.Comment

I do not pay taxes for law enforcement to be a pet taxi.
There are plenty of things, in this city I live in, that require police assistance more than being an animal ambulance. Their response times to most things are already slow as hell. As in most cities.
