I used to have a controller for my PS2 that looked just like a RC car controller. Wheel on the front, trigger for gas/brakes and buttons for shifting.
I loved that controller. I've tried wheels with pedals but its more trouble than its worth in my opinion. Nobody seems to make the other type of controller anymore.
