at the denist you are looking at like 600-1000$ unless your insurance will cover it ... but another good method is going to one of those kiosk whiting booths they hvae in malls n shopping centers
run about 50-100$ per session w/ two or three session to see a good result
If you use the "do it yourself" whitening, prepair to lose some teeth.
I know a guy that lost 5 teeth from one of those TV shopping shows. It was some gel with a mold and you turn this UV light on and it's removes the stains from you teeth. But it also has a reaction to his gums and 5 teeth dropped out about a week later.
Now it's paid $10,000's in new teeth. Pro whitening would have cost him about $800.

went to a dentist in scottsdale a few years ago, got what they called "zoom whitening" where i had to go sit with a light in my mouth for an hour or so, then it was sensitive as hell for a day or 2, but my teef were paper white
then after a bit the white faded, which will happen naturally from things like mustard, wine, etc
but the reason i got it in the first place was looking at a picture of myself online and seeing yellow teeth.
