I am also quite disappointed in their new structure. But, it's their business so I guess they can do with it whatever they want. One would think they would make less money as a tube site but I'll assume they're smart people over there and didn't make the decision without a great deal of forethought.
It does frustrate me though. And gives me concern for the future of the industry. But, for now, I'm actually quite satisfied with where we are at this exact moment so I'll just have to take it one tube site at a time. :-)

In my opinion they are all making chump change through pre-paid spots per month. You turn into a tube. Offer full length movies. Build traffic. Don't even think about doing "sales". Take offers from AFF, etc. for a prepaid spot after you've built up a crazy traffic number. Then you make your 20 grand a month.
Some guys are happy with that number and it'll work for a while. It isn't gonna work long term though. But xnxx has tried a lot of stuff over the years. His traffic was always circle jerk a few years back. Back then, I linked him up on Ampland and sent him 5,000 REAL surfers a day. He would send me back 100,000 uniques a day. lol I stopped that experiment. That kind of thinking makes quick easy money. But it just doesn't last, and it never makes any real money.-Robbie

Martin, I can only speak from money I've made in the past with prepaid on TGP. For me, that was just a small part of the income stream. But for the tube sites...it's the ONLY income stream.-Robbie

Hey nophest. Don't get me wrong. I'm not attacking you or anything. I was just trying to answer what the thread was about. You have obviously learned to monetize that type of traffic. I've never been able to. I would cede to your experience with that kind of thing. It's just not my area of expertise so that traffic was useless to me. I deal in selling memberships. You are a master of monetizing traffic that is for me unproductive. Just different areas of expertise.

As written in our submit area, the picture traffic is fine, so paid submitters should focus on pictures.
The few who still want to do movies should be fine too because we don't add new (fhg + custom) movie galleries anymore, so more exposure for them.
A few persons have started to submit 'watermarked' sponsor videos with URL redirecting to the sponsor tours. I'm certain that the conversions are good on this traffic. And it's free for them.
I haven't seen many sites other than us accepting this type of videos but it may be worth a try.Comment

By the way, as I said months ago, what we see is that the conversions from flash video pages (and even from fulll videos) are very similar to conversions from picture galleries.Comment
