While it seems like he is, in reality Trump isn't getting that many votes.

So far there have been about 20.3 million votes cast in all of the republican primaries combined. Trump tends to get between 30-40% of the votes. If we go on the high side and say 40% that means Trump has gotten about 8.1 million votes. In a country with about 330 million people that means as of right now about 2% of the population has voted for Trump.

The republicans are seeing record turnout for their primaries, but the media and many people are making it out as if everyone is voting Trump and that simply isn't the case.

Are there 8.1 million people living in trailers in the US? I would imagine there are at least that many and likely many more.
