This is nothing new, provigil (modafinil generic name) has been around a while. President Obama takes it, elon musk, nearly all of the titans of Silicon Valley take it. It's a wakefulness drug for sleep shift work disorder but gives you the concentration effects of adderall but none of the stimulant effects of amphetamines. They just ok'd it for children diagnosed with ADHD recently as well. Let me tell you it DOES work like amazingly well if you have a task to perform. You just can't take it and sit on the couch or you'll just totally get into whatever you're watching, ya gotta have something to do. I'm not coder but apparently it's a wonder drug for them because of the intense nature and concentration it takes to code. You just can't live on it LOL, you're body does need sleep eventually but this will allow you to rip thru work like crazy on 2-3 hours of sleep if you need to.

you mention the similar effects as amphetamines, I agree, hearing how it works & what it does.... wonder how they can make this legal & not allow cannabis & other drugs in so many states & countries

This seems a focus-pill rather then an iq-pill. To get a lot of work done you need a lot of focus rather then a high iq.

yeah it definitely does not make you smarter it just allows you to work much longer and much harder on barely any sleep. It's not something you would want to take every single day either, but it is an amazing pill when you need to get something done and do it quickly and do it well, just helps you focus like no other. You'll even forget to eat or use the bathroom LOL. Which is why they advise you to drink as much water as possible while taking the medication. It is a controlled medication, not something you can get easily like an antibiotic.
