    TGPs and Hitbots to stay Ranked High

    So who thinks some of the folks on Page 1 of Sextracker only stay there because of hitbots etc?

    I notice some fall far then come right back up usually larger numbers when lets say a *new tgp* starts creeping up.

    I have heard this is hard to do, but I am certain many can,do, and will.

    Any thoughts?

      forgive my ignorance on hitbots, but do hitbots load the setracker image? I was under the impression that hitbots arent counted by those counters because the image isnt loaded.

              If the hitbot could interface with javascript ...I.E. clone a web-browser for each thread...then yes any type of counter could be fooled easily.

              Not that i would know anything about that type of shit

              I will say that i kill 2-3 trades per day on my tgp for suspicious activity...so i think that alot of guys are just using foreign traffic & hitbot traffic to fuel their trades. Which is great if just one site does it...but when everyone does it...then b/w gets burned & no one makes any money.

              I'd like to hunt down the hitbotters & fuck em in the face

                          I know NOTHING of hitbots or even how they work really.

                          But from what I see, I have no doubt in my mind, if these TGP guys make half of what they claim, shit, getting something writt ten in house wouldnt cost <i>THAT</i> much.

                          Number of hits dont mean diddly to me as I dont trade traffic.

                          But I am curious to what others think, as I can imagine traffic trades using Hitbots, would fuck up the whole chain of sites and their quality of traffic.

                                  hitbox usually work off of proxies which usually load the whole page, and I would assume they use a lot of bandwidth...

                                          You never know there are pretty 'smart' people out there, that put there skills to the wrong uses.

                                          Highly advanced Hitbots could be out there! And for some sites, you can assume whoever you wish, it can be more obvious than others,... cough cough sexocean cough cough

                                              I'd be more interested in a full-proof program that detects hitbots, then some one could start up a site naming which TGPs use them so no one would trade with them.

                                                      the reason you can't beat hitbots is because they can be faked a ton of ways, and there is such limited information exchange between the two machines that detecting a fake hit is almost impossible.

                                                          Fletch, I have had some scumbags send me hitbot traffic over the past few years. Trust me, each time I had this happen, my traffic went to fuck real fast. So the only person who benifits from a hitbot is the hitbot using douchebag.

                                                          And one more comment on this: I have either active trades, or have traded in the past with a large number of top 100 sites (as well as poking into the top100 off and on myself). I have not seen any reason to believe that those guys I have dealt with are playing dirty pool. I use many tricks to protect my sites/traffic, and I have not seen these guys hitting hidden links, or sending a high % of proxy traffic. Obviously I cannot comment on 1-100, but I have dealt with a good 40-50 of the top100 sites.

                                                              I just have to imagine some have to get there by some way other than being totally honest.

                                                              Everyone keeps talking about this Sexocean, if thats the case, and they cheat, then the proof is already there.

                                                                                          I do not understand this traffic trading crap at all. I know people make money from it but all this stuff like "forced traffic" "skimmed" etc does my head in. I just go for SE traffic so I get a shit all bandwidth bill and then send it through to a targetted sponsor.

                                                                                          Bad convertion ratios for me mean that it is 1 in 100, I am usually at 1 in 40 to 1 in 60.

                                                                                                  detecting hitbots is very possible.. i cant imagine a hitbot beating all the detection methods i have in my head.. (will be working on a script soon)

                                                                                                      Fletch XXX SOME guys used to fill a large table at the bottom of their pages with counter code and call the counter image at 1 pixel..
                                                                                                      probably was good for 50 hits a page load or so I WOULD THINK or they might run their pages in an invisible frame full of that same counter code. I heard there was a fine line between maximum counter hits and slowing down the page, must have been huge.

                                                                                                          1. Hitbotting a counter (SexTracker etc..)
                                                                                                          2. and using Hitbot to cheat your traders

                                                                                                          the first - is detectable on the counter side. Seeing too many repetitions from the same IP or too many IP-spoofed requests. If an obvious 10-20% (even more) of traffic is spoofed the countee is a cheater. If more than 25% of the traffic is from proxies - the countee is a cheater. So think about it - if the counter does care about that and take measures agains... even if someone from thr top-10 spoofs 9% of his traffic and use proxies on additional 19% (and even then there are ways to detect cheats), its still 72% legitimate traffic. For the top 10 - its alot of traffic - so regardless of that - they are still huge. Also - being in the top-10, maybe you wont risk cheating (cause you may loose your place in the counter if they find you - and all of the sudden you are #12312313 instead of #1-10 )

                                                                                                          the second - hitbotting a trader should be detected by the trading script. There are many ways to try to detect ceats, and new ways are developed as new ways to cheat are. Even the most sophisticated bot has limitations. Solving all hitbot limitation will render bots traffic a good traffic - because it will also mean that bots have credit-cards and they sometimes buy stuff

                                                                                                              I'll pay you guys like $10,000 to write a hitbot that will transport sexocean and the look alike sites into another dimension or some shit ... all of those fucked up CJ wannabe traffic hog piece of shit TGP's give the real thumb preview tgps a bad name ... and not only that .... they are indirectly fucking up our traffic ... sites I trade with trade with him, trade with him, trade with him, and so forth ... the traffic is pure shit ... it has like .70% productivity, which is prolly fake to begin with ... but none the less ... since sexocean and the attack of the clones happened my prod dropped from like 350-400% to 200-250% which is pure shit compared to before he came around .......... it really blows ass ...

                                                                                                              so like no shit .. write a hit bot that punches people instead of fakes hits, or call some of the fucks from Star Wars ... cause the clones are seriously about to fuck up the thumb preview genre :-/

The best test I know is if someone if AFRAID to show their face and pretending to have a lot of traffic then usually they are a hitbot or some other kind of cheater or skumbag.


                                                                                                                      now, those of us that are real KNOW who doesn't come to the conventions, and low and behold, those that don't show up really look like the same people being accused of hitbotting 95% of the time......

                                                                                                                                  Yah, I was taking a look at your site today and I'd say a huge chunk of your traffic comes indirectly from those sites since they are the main trades of so many sites you trade with.
